GOLD & DIAMOND JEWELLERY CARE POLICY

Jewellery is a valuable and delicate product. Proper care helps maintain its appearance, shine and condition for many years.

1. General Jewellery Care

We recommend that customers:

  • Store each jewellery piece separately to prevent scratches.

  • Keep jewellery in a clean, dry and preferably soft-lined jewellery box or pouch.

  • Avoid placing heavy objects on jewellery.

  • Handle jewellery carefully when putting it on or removing it.

  • Keep jewellery away from children and pets.

2. Gold Jewellery Care

Gold jewellery can develop surface scratches and may lose its shine with regular wear.

Customers should:

  • Remove jewellery before exercising or undertaking strenuous physical activity.

  • Avoid contact with household chemicals and abrasive materials.

  • Remove jewellery before swimming.

  • Avoid exposing jewellery unnecessarily to perfumes, cosmetics, creams and sprays.

  • Clean jewellery gently using appropriate jewellery-cleaning methods.

3. Diamond/Gemstone Jewellery Care

Diamonds are highly durable but the jewellery setting can still be damaged.

Customers should:

  • Avoid impact or excessive force.

  • Avoid wearing diamond jewellery during sports, gym workouts or heavy manual work.

  • Check prongs/settings periodically.

  • Have frequently worn diamond jewellery professionally inspected periodically.

  • Store diamond jewellery separately from other jewellery to prevent scratching.

  • Protect gemstones from strong impact, excessive heat and sudden temperature changes.

  • Some gemstones may naturally vary in colour, texture, inclusions and appearance; these characteristics are not necessarily defects.

4. Chemicals and Cosmetics

Jewellery should be protected from:

Perfume, Hairspray, Cosmetics, Lotions and creams, Chlorine, Bleach, Strong cleaning chemicals, Other corrosive substances.

It is recommended to put jewellery on after applying perfumes and cosmetics.

5. Water and Swimming

Remove jewellery before:

Swimming, Using a hot tub, Bathing where appropriate, Household cleaning, Activities involving chemicals.

Repeated exposure to chemicals, chlorine and other substances may affect jewellery, finishes or settings.

6. Cleaning

For routine cleaning, use a soft, lint-free cloth and appropriate jewellery-care methods.

Customers should not use abrasive cleaners or unverified home remedies.

7. Jewellery Inspection

Customers are encouraged to have jewellery inspected periodically, particularly diamond jewellery and pieces with stone settings.

Early identification of loose stones, damaged prongs or worn settings can help prevent loss or further damage.

8. Repairs and Alterations

Repairs, resizing, polishing, engraving or other alterations should preferably be carried out by Diya Eternal Jewels or an authorised professional.

Unauthorised repairs or modifications may affect eligibility under applicable warranty, exchange or buyback terms.

9. Loss of Stones

Diya Eternal Jewels cannot be responsible for the loss of diamonds or other stones resulting from improper use, accidental damage, impact, wear and tear, loose settings or failure to follow recommended care instructions, except where otherwise required by applicable law or covered under a separate written warranty.

10. Normal Wear and Tear

Minor scratches, surface marks, changes in polish and other effects caused by normal use are considered normal wear and tear and do not necessarily constitute a manufacturing defect.
